Last Friday, three of us met for prayer. We were coming to a close of the evening and my brothers were offering their final request to the Lord. I thought it might be a good idea to stop by Walmart on the way home to purchase some cream of chicken soup.
Feeling a little under the weather, I asked the Lord without speaking it if I should go to Walmart for soup since it was getting late. We concluded our session and I still did not have a strong desire to make a stop on the way home. When I got into my car there was a message from my aunt who asked me if I could stop by her house on the way home. She made some homemade vegetable soup and wanted to share some with us.
We think so often that our prayers go unanswered or unheard by God. This simple request and thought was heard by God. I was blessed at God's reassurance that He listens to every word. "We have not because we ask not."
