Yestreday was a great day of understanding the culture of the Philippines. We visited Green Hills shopping center after enjoying coffee at Mc Donalds! Quite the experience bartering for items and the politely aggresive nature of the Pi folks working in the market inviting you to buy their items.
My friend CJ who just arrived as a basketball missionary purchased a Team Pacquiao T-shirt. We call CJ "Black Superman!" He played for Mississippi College and visited here on a Basketball Mission trip and felt called to come back and serve after graduating. Great to see a brother selling out for Jesus!
I also had the blessing of playing golf here yesterday with Rob Johnson, former Philippine Basketball Association player. It was a blessing playing for the first time with a caddie. In addition to caddies players have the option to have an umbrella carrier. Also great to play in the PI as my father in law has desired for me to play here. Saw a dirt driving range where each player has some tee the ball up for you. Pray for Rob as he and his wife discern Gods call to FCA possibly.
Finished the day at Fridays watching the PBA Conference Finals! Pure Foods won the championship series 4 games to zero. Then prepared for today's presentation in Manilla! Thanks for Praying.
