Who is Coach Rod Olson?
Coach Rod Olson is the Founder and Director of the Coaches of Excellence Institute, and author of Legacy Builders for Coaches.Rod teaches athletic directors, coaches, youth sports leaders, and parents how to create a culture where winning is redefined and competitive sports are seen as opportunities to educate athletes and build positive character traits for life. He is the author of numerous books, and is a motivational and inspirational speaker for various organizations and corporations across the country.
Rod has coached professionally on every level from middle school to NCAA Division 1-A.His coaching background includes stints at Oklahoma State University and 3 Time National Champion Appalachian State University.Prior to founding Coaches of Excellence, Rod was the head coach at three different universities. Rod is married and has 3 children, ages 16, 14 and 10.
