Who is Coach Randy Chambers?

Coach Chambers is a servant of Jesus Christ and the Area Director/Coaches Ministry Director for Delmarva FCA.  In 2003, Randy attended a two day leadership conference, at a Living Word Community Church (York PA), that radically transformed his approach to leading himself and leading others well.  As a result of this life altering experience and fresh vision from God, Randy and Steve Patterson (Long Island NY FCA) established an annual leadership development experience for Coaches in 2009.  It is our intent to provide a life altering, leadership development and spiritual enrichment opportunity for Coaches and leaders of sport.  Cape Henlopen State Park provides an amazing opportunity for fellowship, growth and extraordinary personal solitude.  Beautiful is an understatement for the breath taking views at CHSP. 

Coach Chambers assisted Dover High School Basketball for 10 years before starting a "coaching" career with Fortune 100 company, MBNA.  While at MBNA, he received Colin Powell’s America’s Promise Award in 2002.  Coach Chambers received the Outstanding Young Man of America Award in 1997 while at Delaware State University.  Randy graduated from DSU in 1996 and served eight years with MBNA, leaving a senior management position to follow God’s calling to sports ministry. 
 
Randy’s passion for others and his positive attitude are fueled by life adversity, and three near death car accidents.  He is passionate about Jesus setting captives free and Jesus healing the broken hearted.  Chambers gives glory to God for removing addictions from his life, including alcohol, drugs, tobacco, and pornography.  Randy’s exuberance for life, and leadership development have been shaped through the tragic deaths of his father, his brother & his best friend. 
 
Randy utilizes his coaching and business experience to disciple Coaches, athletes and business leaders to fulfill the Great Commission.   Chambers serves as a Character Coach/Sports Chaplain for Delaware State University Football, Wesley College Football,  Baseball, Basketball and Lacrosse, and Cheyney University Football.   Randy is also currently the Head Basketball Coach at Calvary Christian Academy.  Randy, his wife Melissa and their three sons (William 7, Edward 5 and Patrick 1) reside in Camden, Delaware.
